Handmade meets the Arts Christmas Market 2016
What a day! Thank you for visiting. We saw 1000+ of you!
Here is a collection of photos from our beautiful Handmade Redcliffe makers that popped up shop this year.
It was almost a rain out but the sun popped her head out for the opening and stayed with us! Our celebration of locally made was a go, go! Phew, I mean all that work, we just couldn't be washed out.
Santa popped in and sprinkled his "ho, ho, ho" cheer around 10.30am till lunchtime. He remarked on some of the fine work he saw by the Handmade Redcliffe makers!
Serena's music charmingly called you to visit the hub area where an eclectic collection we dubbed the Maker Emporium was on show. Along with Sarah's fine asian salads and Dawn's Christmassy cupcakes.
Outside on the lawns, coffee & gelato, beautiful soaps, handmade toys, Christmas card station, cushions, jewellery, feltwear, childrenswear, jams & chutneys + more! A visit from the harmonicist was an old-world treat.
Handmade meets the Arts is the coming together of the Handmade Redcliffe markets with local artists and members of the Moreton Bay Arts Council at the Old Redcliffe Fire Station.
It's also an open day for the Redcliffe Pottery Group and Redcliffe Art Society where they open their doors to their studios hosting demonstrations and pop up shops. The Old Fire Station is home to the Redcliffe Art Society gallery and retail shop which is open Wednesday to Sunday 10.00am - 3.00pm if you're wishing to visit before the next market day.
You will be able to catch the Handmade Redcliffe makers again here on Saturday 25 February 2017. This was the third market we hosted at this iconic and beautiful location. We brought together as many of our local creatives we could muster with Moreton Bay Arts Council to create a handmade wonderland of 60+ stalls.
An initiative of Handmade Redcliffe & Moreton Bay Arts Council since 2015.
Pop in and say hello at Handmade Samford this Saturday for our final market for 2016. Find an absolutely beautiful lineup of makers to shop handmade this Christmas.
