Today I shared my love of kokedama making with a group of 19 at the Caboolture Hub. Everyone succeeded and made a Christmas inspired kokedama. With hanging and sitting versions ready for their new homes in bathrooms, kitchens, outside and Christmas gifting. I love that a kokedama can be as happy inside as outside and the different decorative touches you can add to make it your own. Today I chose to bring along some coconut fibre as an alternative to regular spagnum moss for the outside of the kokedamas. Offering different ribbon choices so participants could add their own seasonal touch. The plants I chose had a festive feel too. Here is my soil recipe: 1/4 peat moss 3/4 good quality potting mix Add a good amount of water to create an almost mud pie consistency Thank you Moreton Bay Regional Council for inviting me to host this hands on workshop as part of the Cultivate the Arts program launched earlier this year. See the making we did below! xx Janmaree Workshop designed and facilitated by Janmaree Lowe
