The Sack Shack

Picture

I have horse stables on two sides of my house and thought how beautiful the horse feed sacks were. Ideas flowed...can I recycle them? Can I be brave enough to have a crack at making items myself? Well I bought "Madge" my industrial sewing machine, got some sacks, grabbed my friends, threw ideas around and that is how the Shack Sack label started.

I am assisted by my 84 year old Mum in washing the animal feed sacks and helping me cut out many of the designs. This allows my industrial sewing machine and I to get a move on making items - not without the help of friends along the way too! The more we repurpose waste into funky and functional items, the more we do for our waterways and earth. - Sharon Hazel
